The remaining of a huge number of employees that had already worked and dealt with newspaper and commercial presses for the former organization, has been one great guarantee for continuity and quality at the new market organization.  Due to this, there neither was a long start-up period nor a loss of know-how. The market reaction on the foundation of the new manroland organization with its key competence in web offset printing and an improved service offering has been very positive.

During the last months, the new market organization in China helped to handle two press installations at two printing facilities in Beijing. One modern commercial press is recently installed in Beijing and the installation of the new digital finishing system FormerLine shortly starts. There are also negotiations on further press projects with Chinese customers at the moment.

Expanding and establishing a fast and broad service offering is one main thrust of the new market organization. Throughout the first months after the foundation, several challenging projects could be realized as e.g. press relocations in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, press audit contracts and upgrades and retrofits. The strong presence and reliability of the new organization has already induced printers with competitor presses to ask for support. First orders for third party press service have been placed successfully and will soon be introduced to the expert public.

During this year’s China Print in May 2017, the market organization will organize an event for customers from all over China to introduce new strategic approaches and business models for the future. In the course of this event, the organization will also take the opportunity to have intense discussions and share experiences with its customers. In doing so, not only innovations from web offset printing and service offerings will be introduced but also numerous new business fields of manroland web systems, like e.g. packaging printing or highlights like the manroland web STORE. Together with its partners and due to the trust of the customers, manroland web systems is perfectly prepared for all recent and future tasks and demands of the Chinese market.
