X-Rite Showcases Latest Color Management Solutions for Packaging Converters at INFO*FLEX 2017

Press release from the issuing company

Company to present on how re-evaluating color processes and quality control can help package printers improve quality and grow their businesses

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – X-Rite Incorporated, a global leader in color science and technology, and its subsidiary Pantone LLC, today announced it is a Platinum Sponsor at FTA Forum & INFO*FLEX 2017, May 1-2, 2017, in Phoenix AZ. In booth 420, X-Rite color experts will demonstrate how the latest color management solutions help printers and packaging converters expand their print production capacity and improve productivity while meeting brand requirements and driving new business.  At the show, X-Rite will also be presenting two sessions on how controlling color can help printers grow their flexographic businesses and drive more profitable performance.

“In order to manage the complexity of today’s packaging demands, from new flexible materials to supplier expansion and more, converters are re-evaluating the way they operate,” said Cindy Cooperman, Global Director of Packaging & Brand, X-Rite. “Attendees visiting the X-Rite booth will learn how to take the guesswork out of color achievability and how to streamline production results in order to scale operations. By rethinking how converters approach color, they can improve packaging quality and production efficiencies and bring these technology advancements to their clients instead of waiting for the next request.”

The X-Rite booth will feature Inspiration Zones that take visitors through each step of a typical packaging production workflow, from color specification and premedia, to ink formulation, to production and quality control. Products to be showcased include:

  • ColorCert Suite, a real-time color and print quality process control and reporting suite of tools, used by consumer packaged goods companies and packaging print converters to simplify color specification and verification across a diverse network of stakeholders. It provides all supply chain participants with a transparent, fair and real-time evaluation of print and color quality results, allowing them to shift from a subjective to analytical workflow to collaboratively improve results.
  • PantoneLIVE™, a cloud-based solution for digitally communicating color that gives everyone in the supply chain access to accurate digital color standards for a wide variety of materials and printing processes. With new color libraries that support gravure to help match color on popular metallized flexible packaging and label materials, PantoneLIVE ensures brands and packaging designers are working with the same digital color data as ink manufacturers, prepress, converters and printers.
  • X-Rite eXact™ Xp, a new option in the company’s award-winning eXact handheld spectrophotometer platform designed to accurately and consistently measure color on flexible film materials, including lamination materials and base structures. eXact Xp is becoming the spectrophotometer of choice in North America, where it meets the majority of converter color measurement needs in both commercial print and packaging, including film and other substrates.
  • InkFormulation Software Version 6.3, the industry-leading solution for ink color recipe creation, storage, approval and retrieval for offset, flexographic, gravure and screen-printing inks.
