Belcamp, Maryland – Böttcher Systems (Böttcher), the world’s largest manufacturer of rollers for both graphic and industrial markets, is pleased to announce it has formed a technical partnership with Graphic Roll Coverings (GRC), Canada’s largest roller manufacturer.  

Through this partnership, GRC will manufacture elastomer, PU, and nylon rollers for Böttcher customers in Canada and the U.S.  GRC will also sell Böttcher rollers, chemistry, and blankets through its salesforce in the Canadian market.

For its part, Böttcher will provide GRC with its proprietary elastomer compounds and manufacture sleeves for GRC customers in Canada.  In addition, Böttcher will provide GRC with technical support as well as partnering with GRC on roller and chemical product development.

Of particular interest to both Böttcher and GRC is expanding their presence in the industrial roller market.  According to David Dinsmore, President of Böttcher North America, “The industrial roller market is the fastest growing segment of our business.  We believe that partnering with GRC, who already has a significant share of the industrial roller market in Canada, will help accelerate that growth.  In Europe, Böttcher is the dominant player in the industrial roller market and is the OEM for equipment manufacturers of everything from plastic films to steel to wood products, etc.  In North America we are committed to aggressively growing our industrial roller business and continue to seek out partners/acquisitions to support that goal.”
