ICC Invites Funding Proposals To Support Colour Management Research

Press release from the issuing company

Reston, VA - NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, serving as Secretariat to the International Color Consortium (ICC), announces a call for proposals from graduate students working in colour imaging, who are seeking funding to support their research.

Each year, the ICC provides funding for original research that helps to further the organization's goal of "creating, promoting and encouraging the standardization and evolution of an open, vendor-neutral, cross-platform colour management system architecture and components." A maximum of $10,000 will be awarded, which may be used for subsistence, travel, or to purchase items necessary to advance the research including equipment, software licenses, or publications.

The application deadline is April 7, 2017. Submissions will be judged on the quality and degree to which they meet the award criteria, the funds available, and current ICC priorities. In June 2017, details of the awards will be announced online at: www.color.org. Later, the website will also feature publications on the research outputs.
