Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom - UK software developer, Taopix, will showcase its new integration with Site Flow, part of PrintOS, HP’s cloud-based print production operating system at Dscoop Phoenix. This year’s event will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center from 1 - 4 March.
Taopix and HP will demonstrate the live production of a 9” x 6” postcard-style product using Dscoop member’s own images from their mobile phones. The final product will be created using a seamless combination of the mobile friendly Taopix Quick Designer, PrintOS Site Flow, HP Indigo 7900 digital press and HP Direct-to-Finish automated finishing on the Horizon SmartSlitter and Duplo DC-646.
Taopix Commercial Director, Steffen Haaga said “HP came up with the concept of giving the attendees a very personal and memorable souvenir. We worked closely with HP to design a product template that could be embedded in the Dscoop mobile app. The participants simply need to tap the link in the App to ‘order’ the product then choose their favourite image for the front of the postcard. They’ll also be able to learn more about the other HP Partners involved in the production process on the reverse.”
“It’s been exciting for us to collaborate with HP and Dscoop to bring something new and very different to this year’s event. For the first time in the US, Dscoop delegates will be able to experience our new technologies working in tandem and will hopefully be brimming with new ideas when they leave. We’re hoping to educate and inspire all those who visit our booth by showing them how our technologies can be used to acquire new customers in new markets and how they can manufacture high volumes of ‘one off’ printed products through seamless workflow automation” says Haaga.
Bob Raus, HP’s North American Category Manager states “We are excited to partner with Taopix to feature this complete end-to-end solution for Dscoop members in Phoenix. The combination of Taopix Quick Designer and PrintOS Site Flow means that we can process 1000’s of orders and then automatically batch them for production - all in the cloud. I would be disappointed if we do not print, finish and distribute over 1000 personalized postcards for Dscoop members during the event.”
Taopix representatives from the US and Latin America will be available at Booth #104 throughout the event.
