PageRich Will Address the Needs of the Variable Content on Demand, Distribute and Print Marketplace SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--June 25, 2002-- Equilibrium, a leading provider of dynamic imaging solutions, and majority-owned operating company of CMGI, Inc., today announced a strategic alliance with Pageflex, Inc, a leading developer of dynamic page composition technologies, to provide a Web accessible content composition engine that combines integrated page layout and image editing capabilities for a "distribute and print" solution. PageRich allows marketers to create media-rich documents that adhere to corporate branding, while permitting restricted modification of content and style. "PageRich allows non-designers to create, control and syndicate layout-rich documents with a browser and an Internet connection," said David Monks, CEO of Equilibrium. "By integrating the dynamic imaging tools of Equilibrium with the remote document customization capabilities of Pageflex .EDIT, PageRich provides a multi-channel marketing solution across an entire organization." PageRich combines marketing resource management (MRM) with distributed on-demand printing. Corporations are now able to deploy an effective global direct marketing program that addresses variable content requirements from creation through distribution-and-print. The PageRich solution incorporates Pageflex's recently released .EDIT technology with Equilibrium's MediaRich dynamic image server. .EDIT (pronounced DOT EDIT) is a real-time, browser-based application for the design and editing of sophisticated desktop publishing documents. .EDIT combines the rich features of Pageflex's XML-based NuDoc composition engine with Java applet technologies to enable the editing of documents in Internet Explorer or Netscape browsers for both PC and Macintosh platforms. "We are pleased to be working with Equilibrium to provide an enhanced Web-to-print solution for the variable print marketplace," said Sang Lee, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Pageflex. "PageRich customers will be able to create highly-interactive marketing solutions in which browser-based image and document manipulation is seamless."
