Press release from the issuing company
Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, Orlando, FL, USA: March 27th-30th 2017
Stockport, UK - Nazdar Ink Technologies will co-sponsor the VFP Ink Technologies display at ICMA EXPO 2017, the two innovative companies joining forces to share their expertise in new products and technical applications for the card industry.
Taking place at the Renaissance Orlando hotel at Florida's famous SeaWorld attraction, the International Card Manufacturers Association (ICMA) will hold its annual trade show from March 27th to 30th 2017.
For 25 years, ICMA EXPO has provided the primary card-focused industry event offering card manufacturers, personalizers, suppliers and issuers a unique venue for education, networking and exchanging ideas among industry peers.
Nazdar is the exclusive North American dealer for VFP, a worldwide leader in applications and materials including laminated PVC cards and bank cards, gift cards and loyalty cards, as well as printed electronics, labels and industrial and graphic printing. Representatives from the two companies will be on hand at ICMA EXPO 2017 to discuss new products and technical applications.
In particular, Nazdar will be presenting VFP's UViCard, a ready-to-use UV screen-printing ink for PVC substrates, available in numerous colors including metallics, with an expected shelf life of 12 months for most colors and 24 months for a selection.
AquaCard is also expected to be a draw for ICMA EXPO visitors. The first UV water-based screen printing ink suitable for the laminated plastic cards industry, VFP's innovative formulation offers a thin ink deposit, very good ink stability, easy color matching and a finish very similar to that of solvent-based inks. Both UViCard and AquaCard are suitable for use with offset overprinting, laminating and embossing processes, and are VOC-free.
Nazdar and VFP will also be discussing the benefits of IR Blocking Ink, a functional ink for transparent bank cards. The very successful result of a long period of R&D, the formula is designed for cards used in ATMs and other readers with IR sensors, which includes components which absorb infrared light and do not harm the unity of the card. Compared to its competitors, IR Blocking Ink is less tinted and more stable, and maintains specific card flexibility and enables overprinting.
"As the exclusive supplier for VFP Ink Technologies in the North America region, we're looking forward to discussing the benefits of IR Blocking Ink, UViCard and AquaCard with specialists in the bank card, loyalty card and gift card markets at this premier trade show," comments Laura Maybaum – Market Segment Manager – Industrial Screen at Nazdar Ink Technologies. "ICMA EXPO brings together a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, not least many decades from Nazdar and VFP."
