Granite Publications to install Goss Community SSC press

August 15th, 2008 – Texan community newspaper publisher Granite Publications has ordered a new eight-unit Goss Community SSC press to produce its 16 daily, weekly and twice-weekly newspapers.
The new press will consist of one four-high tower and four mono units with integrated reelstands and an SSC folder. Scheduled for shipment later this year, the Community SSC press will be installed at Granite Publications' new facility in Taylor, Texas and is expected to be in full production by the end of 2008.
Granite Publications president, Rick Reynolds, confirms, "After evaluating various models offered by different press manufacturers, we believe that the Community SSC press is the best choice for our production needs. We appreciate the flexibility and reliability the press has provided to thousands of printers around the world and are proud to be a part of the Goss press users family."
Goss International regional sales manager Sam Pernice adds, "For decades, the Community SSC model has proven to be the market leader in the small to mid-size print market, serving both the newspaper and semi-commercial insert markets.
