Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, - Printing Industries of America (PIA) announces the addition of new content to the 2017 Continuous Improvement Conference: April 2—5 in Pittsburgh, PA. The annual event focuses on helping industry companies achieve operational excellence by using the concepts of Lean Manufacturing and other management and quality systems. The new theme for the event, “Bringing an Improvement Culture to Life,” acknowledges a critical aspect of creating supportive cultures that engage employees in improvement efforts.

Along with the usual tracks of the Continuous Improvement Conference, Leadership and Culture, Process and Tools—Advanced, and Process and Tools—Fundamental, organizers have added a fourth track: Growing and Developing People. The new addition will boast sessions such as Best Practices in Employee Engagement, New Approaches to Employee Evaluations and Coaching, and The Roots of Employee Motivation.

“The conference has continued to grow in size and content,” said Jim Workman, conference manager and vice president of PIA’s Center for Technology and Research. “Since we know that many companies struggle with encouraging employees to develop an improvement mindset, we decided to add additional content to the Continuous Improvement Conference in order to aid in their efforts.”

Those who attend the 2017 Continuous Improvement Conference presented by PIA uncover detailed strategies for protecting company survival, implementing Lean manufacturing tactics, transforming company culture, and more. Organizers designed the conference for any graphic communications company looking for practical ways to reduce operational costs, speed throughput, and improve customer experience through process improvement. It is ideal for executives and managers leading their companies to new levels of performance.

The conference is organized by PIA in partnership with Specialty Graphic Imaging Association. For registration, hotel information, and more on the 2017 Continuous Improvement Conference, visit ci.printing.org.
