SGIA member donation strengthens education and industry careers

Fairfax, Virginia - Sawgrass (SGIA member since 1998), a leader in the dye sublimation and digital ink industry, has generously donated a Virtuoso 25-inch 8-Color HD Product Decorating System dye sublimation printer to be used in the state-of-the-art laboratory at SGIA Headquarters.

“When we heard that SGIA was hosting an event focused on wide-format graphics for sublimation, we wanted to play an active role in making that happen,” said Dimple Patel, Vice President of Product Development at Sawgrass. “Our team will be there to help new sublimators learn about how they can create banners, soft signage and other interior applications with the Virtuoso 25-inch 8-Color HD Product Decorating System. We want to give them a hands-on experience that will get them excited about the possibilities for their businesses and help them feel confident working with sublimation technology moving forward.”

The new printer will be used in the upcoming Operation Sublimation, Mission Wide-Format Graphics Workshop (May 2–4, 2017). Thanks to Sawgrass, workshop participants will get experience with some of the latest technology available on the market, and they will be able to practice their new skills before ever stepping outside of the classroom.
