Press release from the issuing company
alfa Media, a leading provider of digital publishing software and part of the group that owns US based alfa CTP Systems and UK based IPA Systems, has acquired the software mill of Red.Web, an innovator in editorial solutions.
Founded in 2003 in Koblenz, Germany, Red.Web technology powers over 200 titles and provides a perfect complement to alfa Media’s product portfolio, which is founded on the core technologies of MediaSuite and AdSuite.
“The combined resources of alfa Media and Reb.Web, create a strong development and support base from which to serve the rapidly evolving needs of the industry”, explains Jens Emmerich, CEO of alfa Media.
“Modern publishers have different needs than even a few years ago. We must be responsive to those needs and provide solutions that lead us into the realms of virtual newsrooms, mobile apps and social media, which is where the news happens now”.
