Tonejet to showcase direct-to-converted-can digital printing at InPrint 2016

Press release from the issuing company

InPrint visitors to explore profitable can printing solutions with Tonejet

Tonejet, the only manufacturer of advanced electro-static drop-on-demand digital print engines, today announces that it will exhibit at InPrint, Milan (15-17th November), stand D35. Live at the show, Tonejet will demonstrate how through the use of its Digital 2-piece Can Decorator, industrial print and drinks producers can directly print to cans which have been fully converted to a necked can, for short to medium print runs, profitably.

Tonejet will display an upgraded version of its 2-piece Can and Tube Digital Decorator, which it presented to visitors at InPrint, Munich, in 2015. Aiming to remove the barriers in small batch canning, Tonejet will showcase how their product can print necked cans making it ideal for special event beverages and products where market agility is key.

Marvin Foreman, Sales Manager, Tonejet comments: “InPrint provides us with a great opportunity to present our digital, direct-to-shape offering and its benefits to a wide variety of markets and industrial businesses, further educating the market on the world of opportunity made possible with Tonejet’s ground-breaking technology.” Foreman added, “The beverage market for independent beers and small batch product continues to rise, with larger drinks producers now regularly producing unique short-to-medium run beverages too. This, coupled with the many advantages of canning a beverage, means that digital can printing is recognised as the key to unlocking huge new business potential for brewers, beverage manufacturers and investors alike.”

The Tonejet Digital 2-Piece Can Decorator utilises electrostatic drop-on-demand deposition technology for high speed, high-quality print on virtually any substrate. Offering high resolution colour imaging, the Tonejet system is built for true industrial applications. With a total cost of ownership typically associated with conventional printing, Tonejet is a fraction of the running cost of competing digial technologies.

Digital can printing technology is opening-up new opportunities for can printers and craft brewers alike by removing the barrier of minimum order contstraints. Tonejet’s unique print heads are able to achieve exceptional reliability and produce a super thin sub-micron print layer thickness, resulting in high productivity and industry low running costs.

Tonejet product applications include:
- Metal packaging cans, closures and containers
- Cylindrical containers tubes, cartons and aerosols
- Flexible packaging foil, labels, shrink sleeves, flow wrap, pouches
- Paperboard packaging folding carton, carton board, corrugated

Tonejet’s booth will be located at Stand D35.
