United Kingdom – Intec Printing Solutions Limited, world leaders in digital imaging, continues a world-wide launch of finishing equipment to add premium decorative effects to digitally printed media at The Print Show 2016, NEC, UK with the ColorFlare 1000L. Intec are to debut the ColorFlare at this year’s show, adding to Intec’s growing range of unique print and finishing solutions.

For the first time in the UK, Intec will showcase the finishing effects achievable on its ColorFlare unit using a range of lamination films, spot gloss films and special effect ‘flaring’ foils at The Print Show.

The ColoFlare is a compact and environmentally friendly dual laminator and foil flaring device designed to offer commercial printers, marketers and designers in-house decorative effects for short run, on-demand digital applications, as well as lamination for traditional litho output.

Using state-of-the-art technology, combined with pneumatic pressure, the Intec ColorFlare delivers up to 35.5 newtons/ mm enabling superior bonding and faster production times – compared to standard systems - and with its fast, easy set-up the ColorFlare becomes a low cost solution to add ‘flare’ to print.

Coupled with the ColorSplash colour digital printer, the ColorFlare can foil flare directly onto printed toner and also onto lamination films creating extra special effects without expensive set up charges. Not limiting themselves to promoting this with the ColorSpash units only, Intec offers the ColorFlare to anyone who has a digital printer from any one of today’s major printer manufacturers. 

Digital print can be ‘flared’ with lamination films and a wide range of coloured, metallised and holographic foils from Intec’s consumables offering. A selection of different widths and lengths of the lamination films can be chosen to add depth and value to printed items but the real magic comes when these lamination films can be overprinted to add foil ‘flaring’ to packaging, sheet labels and print opening up new opportunities for the production of vouchers, security print, packaging and labels etc.
