New imageRUNNER ADVANCE Multifunction Systems and imageCLASS Laser Printer

In addition, the Company has also introduced the new Color imageCLASS LBP712Cdn, a compact color laser printer designed to complement imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE fleets for print-focused needs.
Great for small-to-mid-size organizations and departments within enterprises, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5560i, imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5550i, imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5540i and imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5535i multifunction systems (MFPs) offer advanced personalization, along with a convergence of imaging technology and support for cloud connectivity and various mobile solutions. Designed to provide high-quality output, powerful performance, outstanding ease-of-use and virtually seamless integration with various Canon and many other third-party workflow solutions, this new series is positioned to be the core of an organization's digital business communications.
Complementing the new series of imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs, the sleek new Color imageCLASS LBP712Cdn delivers print speeds of up-to-40 pages per minute (ppm)1 and provides increased paper capacity for outstanding uptime. For office areas or individuals that only need a color print solution, the new imageCLASS model allows the customer to realize the benefits of excellent productivity and outstanding image quality without compromising office space. Used within a print management strategy, that includes imageRUNNER ADVANCE fleets, the Color imageCLASS LBP712Cdn can provide affordable color printing and a consistent user experience via common print driver with the imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs. This adaptability makes the Color imageCLASS LBP712Cdn a powerhouse for nearly any organization.

Advanced Personalization
ADVANCE models, these new MFPs feature a flat operation, touchscreen panel, which includes a larger display and functions for improved usability as compared to prior models. When authentication is activated, users can access My ADVANCE features to create a personalized experience tailored to their preferences. Display settings and many frequently used functions can be customized on a user-by-user basis such as allowing users to set their preferred language as well as create their own personal address book. Integration with the free Canon PRINT Business app**, also supported by the Color imageCLASS LB712Cdn, further expands support for personal workflows by allowing users to send to contacts saved on their compatible smartphones or tablets. Thanks to the Unified Firmware Platform, additional functionality can become available to existing models within the third generation of imageRUNNER Advance MFPs in the future through version upgrades, unlocking opportunities to continuously provide new value to the users.
Workflow Productivity
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500 Series supports toner with significantly higher yields from previous models and is equipped with a waste toner bottle three times the size of predecessor models, reducing the frequency with which users need to change bottles. In addition, live-action video demonstrations displayed right on the control panel can help users perform common maintenance procedures. Each model can support advanced finishing options, including hole-punching, stapling and booklet-making. The Staple-Free Staple feature2 allows for easy shredding, efficient paper stacking and uses fewer staples to help reduce waste, and the Staple On Demand feature allows users to re-staple originals after copying/scanning, or to staple documents that were printed without the appropriate staple settings initially selected. Additionally, an improved multi-purpose tray with auto-size detection helps save time by automatically detecting standard paper sizes when they are placed in the tray.
The Color imageCLASS LBP712Cdn is designed to provide maximum efficiency with a minimal footprint. A reliable workhorse printer for busy workgroups, this model is designed to help customers achieve outstanding results in an efficient manner. Delivering a consistent print speed of 40-pages per minute,1 even when printing two-sided, this compact model wakes up from sleep mode in just 9.2 seconds minimizing loss of work time. It can be set up as a desktop model for banks and other environments where available space is at a premium, or can be configured with up to three additional trays to support diverse printing needs of marketing and other departments across a variety of print media. Furthermore, the LBP712Cdn utilizes a common print driver to the imageRUNNER ADVANCE models, which can free up IT resources and minimize customer learning-curves.
Image Quality
Equipped with the V2 Color profile, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500 Series and Color imageCLASS LBP712Cdn can help users create impactful, well-defined images to help customers generate stunning prints. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500 Series also features an "Insulated & Air Pressure" (IAP) Toner Bottle, helping to facilitate a steady toner supply, while "Consistently Stable" (CS) toner offers high transfer stability, providing prints with minimal irregularities and scattering, even over long runs. In addition, an enhanced intermediate transfer belt for the successful transfer of toner helps to better fill the concaves of rough media, as well as a newly enhanced fixing belt to help users achieve solid, well-defined blacks.
Cost Management
Both the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500 Series and the Color imageCLASS LBP712Cdn can support the optional uniFLOW solution, making these new models excellent options for managed document services and overall print management strategies. Advanced user authentication with Universal Login Manager comes standard on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500 Series, allowing organizations to manage print and document costs by controlling employees' access and usage. This standard solution allows for a virtually seamless upgrade to the optional uniFLOW software, Canon's comprehensive and scalable solution software platform for device, output management and smart scanning solutions.
Security
In order to help limit access to customer's sensitive information, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500 Series features a set of standard and optional security capabilities. 3 As part of the third generation of imageRUNNER ADVANCE systems, these MFPs include a standard Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Encryption function with FIPS140-2 validation which, when activated, automatically encrypts data stored on the main unit's HDD, thereby helping to restrict access to the customer's data. The Color imageCLASS LBP712Cdn avoids the use of a hard drive to help limit storage of sensitive customer information on this device.
Device & Fleet Management
These new imageRUNNER ADVANCE systems and the Color imageCLASS LBP712Cdn can be supported by a customer's Canon's imageWARE Enterprise Management Console4, its plug-ins and Canon's Managed Document Services. With these additional solutions, customers can benefit from centralized control for day-to-day management, as well as tools to easily deploy and manage device settings, user management and security features across the fleet of multifunction systems.
Sustainability
With features to help reduce waste, technology designed to provide low energy consumption, which can help limit emissions, the third generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE models, \ as well as the Color imageCLASS LBP712Cdn, are designed to help support customers' sustainability goals. The new imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500 Series models are Energy Star certified and rated EPEAT Gold, while the Color LBP712Cdn is Energy Star certified and rated EPEAT Silver.5
