Caldera confirms presence with key partner Midcomp at FESPA Africa

Press release from the issuing company

FESPA Africa: 7th to 9th September 2016, Johannesburg, South Africa Midcomp and Caldera: Hall 3, stand H3D1

Caldera will support its major regional distributor Midcomp at the forthcoming FESPA Africa show, using the event as a preview showcase for Version 11 of its RIP suite, which will launch officially in September. Midcomp has been a valued Caldera partner for several years and will introduce its popular software solutions alongside printing equipment from HP and other leading manufacturers.

Geoffrey Bailly, Project Manager in Caldera’s International Sales team, will be on hand to support Midcomp and engage with visitors to show them how Caldera’s solutions can reduce errors, saving them time and money in production. In particular he will highlight the various practical benefits coming with the soon-to-be-launched V11. Users of VisualRIP+, GrandRIP+ and Caldera’s other RIP packages will be offered expanded spot colour handling, a True Bleed feature for better edge finishing on canvas and print-and-cut work, and other positives derived from the incorporation of the latest release of the Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE).

CalderaNexio and WebShop will also be on display for wide-format print houses looking to benefit from automation and online sales facilities. CalderaNexio is the company’s forward-thinking tool which enables businesses to connect the different software packages they use internally with JDF/JMF, streamlining file processing by sending relevant production information to appropriate points. WebShop creates an online portal that integrates easily with a printer’s existing web presence, processing payments and providing a qualified job ticket into their workflow, meaning that wide-format shops can at last reap the rewards of selling over the web and outside office hours.

FESPA Africa falls during Caldera’s 25th anniversary celebrations and at a time when the company is at a phase of significant international expansion. “Africa is a fast-growing continental market, which is why we work with one of the region’s major distributors, Midcomp, to ensure customers are aware of how Caldera’s solutions can help them scale up in line with that growth,” says Bailly.

“Midcomp works with a number of top manufacturers and Caldera is no exception,” adds Navin Jeenwanlall, Colorflo Divisional Manager, Midcomp. “We have worked with Caldera for years and offered our customers the fantastic file and colour management capabilities that have been a major part of the RIP since the beginning. We are excited to help Caldera demonstrate its preview of Version 11 to the FESPA Africa audience and are sure it will be received successfully.”
