Press release from the issuing company
Premiere Products, one of the UK’s leading manufacturer of commercial cleaning products and subsidiary of James Briggs Holdings, have renewed and expanded their relationship with Linkz, the active packaging technology company. This follows two successful years of using packaging labels that are digitally watermarked. These labels can be scanned by anyone with a smartphone running the Linkz app to reveal in-depth product information, advice, training videos and promotions.
"Our initial work with Linkz proved to us that if you provide the right call to action on the packaging and deliver a useful result you'll increase customer engagement", said Peter Brown, Premiere's Commerical Director. "Best of all though are the analytics that Linkz gives us, showing when and where the products are used and helping us understand our end customers better.”
Premiere Products has now adopted a new Linkz feature that lets them harness the existing EAN (UTC) barcode to link to digital information. End users scan the barcode to get further product information, which can be automatically delivered in the user’s preferred language. Expansion into delivery of the Premiere Supreme Distributor induction programme and BICS Cleaning Industry Training via the barcodes is underway.
Peter Brown says: "This means that all our Premium brand packaging is automatically activated as we ship it, as each product already has a EAN barcode on it. We plan to use social media and on-pack messaging to focus attention to it. Every brand that has something to say to its customers is missing a trick if they don't activate their product in this way".
Nathalie Muller, CEO of Linkz, said: “We can see an increase in end-user interest in scannable packaging. Brands that have a story to tell, or a captive-, passionate- and/or multilingual audience, or with complex products, all can use activated packaging as a channel to engage with their customers.”
