Press release from the issuing company

'Pharmaceuticals, beauty & cosmetics, wine labels – these are markets we could not have competed in'

MISSISSAUGA,Ont. – Canada’s DesignLabel Systems, an integrated product ID and label solutions provider with regional dominance and national reach in the pressure-sensitive label industry, is reporting a positive impact on its business after acquiring a Durst Tau 330 digital UV label press.

After extensive research, DLSmanagers identified the 7-color Tau 330 with inline SMAG finishing system as their machine of choice, citing significant anticipated savings as well as faster turnaround.  In its first six months, DLS Vice President Imran Faruqui said, “The Tau has already drastically reduced time spent on prepress tasks.  It creates highly accurate proofs and provides tremendous ink laydown, which has allowed us to get into more demanding markets.”

DLS has been using the Tau 330 primarily for shorter run, very high quality projects, said DLS Marketing & Sales Director Adam Faruqui.  “Pharmaceuticals, beauty & cosmetics, wine labels – these are markets we could not have competed in with traditional printing,” he said.  “Digital isperfect for them.  And it has already paid off.”
