Press release from the issuing company

The AZ Medien AG is investing in their subsidiary Vogt-Schild Druck AG with a new ROTOMAN DirectDrive from manroland web systems

The Swiss printing company is ensuring its' machinery is at the cutting edge of technology and thereby equipping itself for the future through its investment in a highly flexible web offset printing system.

The core competences of Vogt-Schild Druck AG are the diverse professional services they provide in the printing and publishing sectors. At the centre of this competence is the tailor made customer solutions they provide which are based on the most modern digital future technology. These future oriented complete solutions enable the company to provide the best possible benefits for their customers. That is why they have now decided on an investment in a ROTOMAN DirectDrive.

The contract for the high performance system, with manroland web systems, was signed at the beginning of the world's largest printing trade fair, in order to be capable of meeting increasing market demands in production flexibility and efficiency in the future. The system is scheduled to go into production in the middle of 2017. Rolf Steiner, managing director of Vogt-Schild Druck AG, is convinced: "We create industrial products of the highest quality. Because we have been able to continuously expand our market presence over the last years, we have now decided to make further investments, in order to stay at the top of the Swiss printing house sector. We will be able to optimally position ourselves in the highly competitive print market and provide our customers with further benefits and even more quality, with the new highly automated and extremely flexible production system."

ROTOMAN DirectDrive – the market leader in 16 page commercial web offset.

The ROTOMAN DirectDrive for Vogt-Schild Druck AG distinguishes itself, among other ways, by its configuration with five printing units. The system is thereby equipped both for fully automated version and signature changes thanks to the DynaChange function as well as for finishing options like coating or special colour printing. These functions are supported by the DynaChange technology of the printing cylinders that can be driven apart, enabling the paper web to be guided through the printing units which are not in operation at that moment, without contact. In addition the system is equipped with the manroland web systems Inline Control Systems for cut-off register, ink register and ink density control. These automated functions guarantee consistently high print quality, lowest levels of waste and ease of operation for the machine personnel.
