OneVision presents DigiLabel software

Press release from the issuing company

New Software Greatly Improves Efficiency Of Label Printers

Just in time for drupa, the German software manufacturer OneVision is putting a new software programme for label printers on the market that significantly improves production processes, provides major savings and enables a larger throughput.

Regensburg/Dusseldorf. The new software programme from the international manufacturer of software solutions for the printing industry is called DigiLabel and is a comprehensive 2-in-1 system of automated label production. It eases complex label workflows for digital label printers and combines print data optimisation and label production planning. The benefits of the system include improved transparency, a safe production process and significant improvements in efficiency.

Error-free printing thanks to proven OneVision PDF workflow technology

DigiLabel imports production data and then automatically optimises it. OneVision is already highly ranked in the printing industry for pre-flighting and the normalisation of print data for error-free printing and is now bringing its expertise to label printing. Together with newspaper and magazine publishers, printing houses have for years benefited from the increased automation levels and thus significant cost saving potential and efficiency gains provided by OneVision's software solutions.

These solutions include workflow solutions that enable the entire production workflow to be integrated, standardised and substantially automated. They also cover detailed quality control and optimisation of print files and images using RIP and Inksave software, as well as individual solutions for the imposition of PDF files or flattening of transparencies – all done automatically!

DigiLabel makes use of this expertise in the entire production workflow: print data are automatically subjected to a quality control and then optimised. The automated production of die-cutting moulds or laser-cutting configurations, standard cut lines, a white background and the automatic dispatch of a release PDF to the customer for approval saves labour time and staff resources. DigiLabel also assembles open orders and does the production planning.

Fully automated collect-run production enables significant savings
The fully automated, cross-customer collect-run production of labels using the new software is unique on the market. DigiLabel assembles open orders and combines labels of various shapes, sizes and print runs to be printed on the same substrate and forwards them to the printers. This reduces production error sources, lowers materials costs by saving on printing and also increases throughput.
