At drupa 2016, Enfocus will showcase solutions that transform how business gets done

Press release from the issuing company

Ghent, Belgium – At drupa 2016, Enfocus will be showing how the company has combined ideas, innovation and collaboration to create disruptive solutions that ensure success for Enfocus users around the globe. From Hall 08b, booth A23, Enfocus will demonstrate the features and functionality of these new solutions, including the Enfocus Appstore, the new Switch PDF Review Module, Cloud-based enhancements to Enfocus Connect and new subscription and preflight options for PitStop Server. Used separately or together, these solutions have the ability to significantly improve a printer’s operation.

Transforming how business gets done

Fabian Prudhomme, Vice President at Enfocus, says, “Much has changed since drupa 2012. Today, more than ever, technology shapes our daily experiences. These technical developments helped Enfocus to think in a new way and to create the type of disruptive solutions we are demonstrating at drupa 2016. The latest versions of our software work in ways users never would have dreamed of four years ago. Back then, who would have thought you could buy a key application for your workflow from another user? Who could imagine making the customer a key part of your automation process, or being able to subscribe to PitStop Server when you need it? All of these things are now possible and we are excited about the impact these solutions will have for our customers, and for the market as a whole.”

The Enfocus Appstore

Since its introduction earlier this year, the Enfocus Appstore has quickly grown to become a vital resource for the Switch customers. The success of this online marketplace is due in large part to the way it taps into the expertise and deep market knowledge that is integral to the Switch Community and makes that expertise available through a robust co-creation platform.

At drupa, Enfocus will showcase workflows that have been created using apps that are available in the Enfocus Appstore.

Switch PDF Review Module

Managing the PDF approval process is cumbersome and time-consuming and can often result in a customer approving files that are not consistent with what they wanted to be produced.

At drupa, Enfocus will show how to solve these PDF review challenges with an integrated solution called Switch PDF Review Module. This new add-on module for Enfocus Switch gives users an easy way to view PDFs and perform object-based inspection and review – all from within an HTML5 based interface on a desktop or tablet.

Using the Switch PDF Review Module gives both the customer and the printer the confidence of knowing that the proof they are looking at is what will be printed afterwards.

Cloud innovations

Enfocus’ dedication to innovation can also be seen in the way software gets delivered and utilised by customers.

Connect ALL 13 update 2 extends the benefits of automation all the way to the customer’s desktop. Connect users can now deploy dynamic HTML job tickets in their remote Connectors. These new Connectors not only enhance the experience of the printer’s customers, they also capture important job-related information that can ultimately flow directly into the printer’s workflow.

Enfocus is also offering Cloud-based solutions that give users more flexibility and security. One example is the introduction in Enfocus Switch of the HTML5 SwitchClient. In Switch 13, Enfocus introduced the possibility to see the Switch Server messages in a browser. Now Enfocus goes one step further in feeding the Switch Browser Portal by adding the Job Client. It’s new. It’s modern and works on tablet and smartphone.

Extended Preflight and PitStop Server Subscriptions

PitStop 13 update 2, which will be released at drupa, combines new industry standards with Enfocus technology to extended preflight capabilities to handle even the most complex PDFs in markets such as packaging, wide format, and labelling.

The new PitStop Server version also includes an optional licensing model for monthly or yearly subscriptions. This subscription-based licensing gives users a greater flexibility and enables them to adjust for seasonality in their business. Moreover, it ensures that the customers are always working with the latest version of PitStop.
