Rottweil/Germany - BDT Print Media GmbH is pleased to announce that Kodak will be demonstrating the advanced TPF-550 Long Sheet Deep Pile Feeder as part of the showcase of the KODAK NEXPRESS ZX3900 Digital Production Color Press at DRUPA 2016. The TPF–550 Long Sheet Deep Pile Feeder by BDT Print Media configured for the KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Production Color Platform is capable of feeding the widest range of cut sheet digital production print substrates in the world, and is an enabling element of the expanded print capabilities of the NEXPRESS Platform. Kodak will be exhibiting the combined NEXPRESS Press and TPF-550 Feeder at the DRUPA 2016 in Dusseldorf, Germany from May 31 to June 10, 2016.
 
The TPF-550 Feeder incorporates the revolutionary patented BDT Tornado technology for media separation, lift and transport. The fully electronic control of the Tornado technology allows for media feed parameters to be stored in the feeder memory and used to automatically configure the unit.
 
The new KODAK NEXPRESS ZX3900 Digital Production Color Press supports thicker paper and the use of thicker synthetic substrates that will open up new opportunities for printers, including short-run packaging applications like labels, tags and small folding cartons, as well as differentiated commercial and publishing products. The enhanced feeding capability of the TPF-550 Feeder will provide reliable, automated feeding substrates used for these new applications. Job changeover time is significantly reduced due to automation during the setup process.
