Press release from the issuing company

Recent installation increases efficiency and boosts productivity for regional print leader

MELVILLE, N.Y. – Canon Solutions America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., today announced that BRD Printing, Inc. turned to the Canon imagePRESS C10000VP to enhance its print services and has since experienced heightened levels of quality and efficiency. The Michigan-based print service provider installed the industry-leading color press after working with Canon Solutions America to find the answer to its digital print needs.

Founded in 1977, BRD Printing has evolved into one of the most respected and prominent printing companies in the mid-Michigan region. With a dedicated staff and state-of-the-art commercial printing facility, BRD Printing utilizes some of the most advanced equipment available and prides itself on staying at the forefront of the industry by continually upgrading to meet its customers’ needs. At the foundation of BRD Printing’s identity is customer satisfaction; to the print provider, nothing is more important or valuable to its sustained success.

In a competitive and ever-evolving market, BRD Printing differentiates itself with superior quality and versatility. Since entering the digital print world in the spring of 2012, the company has put a focus on expanding its reach to a vast customer-base that includes everything from major universities to small retail shops. During a rapid increase in work volume late last summer, BRD Printing recognized the need to further expand its print offerings and began its search for cutting-edge digital technologies. After speaking with Canon Solutions America, it became clear to BRD Printing that the answer was the Canon imagePRESS C10000VP.

“Our team went through extensive research and analysis to determine which machine would best fit our business requirements,” said Dave Lee, president of BRD Printing. “With its unquestionable quality and pinpoint registration control, the new imagePRESS from Canon Solutions America was seen as the ideal match and has taken our capabilities to another level.”

Designed to meet the increasing demand from both commercial and in-house print service providers for higher production volumes without compromising on quality, the Canon imagePRESS C10000VP has set new standards in image quality and productivity. Combining proven imagePRESS features with new print technologies, the next-generation digital press includes long-sheet feeder capabilities – a particular feature that captured the attention of BRD Printing – along with vibrant color, high quality and the ability to maintain productivity on long-run or mixed media jobs.

“The color, quality, and registration are all impeccable,” added Lee. “We needed a digital press that could meet our quantity demands, and the Canon imagePRESS C10000VP has done so with great reliability.”

“True to our core goal is giving our customers the means to bring in more work from their existing clients while also expanding their offerings to reach an entirely new customer-base,” said Tracie Sokol, vice president, Marketing, Enterprise Services and Solutions. “Collaborating with customers like BRD Printing and helping them push the envelope on what is possible from a business standpoint is what we value most at Canon Solutions America.”

Impressed with the flexibility in jobs the new imagePRESS has provided Lee and his team, BRD Printing added another digital printer to its fleet to advance its levels of print versatility even more: the Canon imagePRESS C800/C700. Now operating with a total of three Canon devices – Lee recently added the Canon varioPRINT 110 production printer as well – BRD Printing is equipped with a dynamic fleet that is sure to separate the Michigan print leader from the competition.

“We are very much looking forward to what the future has to hold for us with these new technologies that have helped BRD become more efficient,” said Lee. “We’re thrilled with how things have gone since installation and look to continue our pursuit of broadening our services and offerings for customers throughout the Michigan region.”
