Feature-rich printer offering up to 40 - 61” x 123” boards per hour with no banding
Suwanee, GA - Vanguard Digital Printing Systems has added a new “game changing” printer to its portfolio, launching the VK300D UV flatbed printing system at ISA in Orlando last month. The VK300D is a high-productivity system boasting industry-leading output, quality and design.
The VK300D prints on substrates up to 61” x 123” wide and 4” inches thick. The 4.25”, Kyocera greyscale print head has 2,656 nozzles and jets 4, 8 and 12 picoliter drop sizes which produces beautiful photo-realistic quality at astonishing speeds. Vanguard Digital’s proprietary formulated CMYK plus white ink blend yields the brightest and most vibrant colors with superior adhesion, making it among the best in the UV market. The Vanguard Digital team has worked hard to ensure a G7-certified color gamut that runs at a blazing 40 boards per hour in production mode and 30 boards per hour in quality mode.
“This printer is a game changer. ISA show attendees were amazed by the tonal quality of the VK300D and its ability to print 4’ x 8’ boards in less than two minutes,” said Jim Peterson, co-founder, Vanguard Digital Printing Systems. “The large 8.5” per pass print swath, in addition to printing front-to-back then back-to-front, increases speed and productivity with no waiting for the carriage to return. The VK300D is a feature-rich system that comes in at an attractive price point.”
The new VK300D prints at resolutions up to 1800 apparent DPI, features adjustable LED curing technology for greater control on a wider variety of substrates (CureGuard tm), anti-static bars (StaticGuard tm) and accepts both rigid or flexible media.
The new VK300D joins the VR5D flatbed UV inkjet printer, the flagship product in the Vanguard portfolio. The VR5D utilize a CMYK plus white ink set, with the latest Ricoh Gen 5 print heads and proprietary BandGUARD tm technology. BandGUARD technology utilizes a symmetrical print head alignment (ymck-kcmy) to all but eliminate bi-directional banding. The VR5D and VK300D can both be upgraded onsite with additional print heads for increased speed and productivity. The VR5D flatbed is designed to accommodate a full range of rigid media up to 49” x 99” and 4” thick.
