FRESNES, FRANCE – MGI Digital Technology has announced the worldwide release of a major new addition to its renowned and award-winning JETvarnish 3D digital enhancement product portfolio: the JETvarnish 3D W.

The JETvarnish 3DW and iFOIL W system is an integrated, roll-to-roll print embellishment solution ideally suited to the label and tag marketplace. It provides critical customization and “Foil-on-Demand” (FOD) short, medium and long-run capabilities - as well as Variable Data Foiling (VDF) options for mass personalization every piece produced. 

Worldwide Drupa Trade Fair Launch

The JETvarnish 3D W will be demonstrated live at the upcoming Drupa 2016 international print trade fair in the MGI Booth (Hall 5, Stand D21) from May 31^st to June 10^th in Dusseldorf, Germany. MGI is currently taking sales orders and will be shipping units after Drupa.

Print Enhancement Improves Brand Management

The new JETvarnish 3DW & iFOIL W system adds valuable shelf impact with colorful, luxurious and eye-catching special effects that improve brand identification and consumer perception. For printers and converters, the new MGI digital system supports the growing digitally-printed label trend of strengthening customer relationships via rapid prototyping, short run customization and production-strength power.

Flexo Substrate Management & Artificial Intelligent Registration

The system produces 2D spot UV coating, 3D embossed varnish textures and embossed foil effects all in one pass. The full JETvarnish 3DW iFOIL solution also includes flexo priming station options for substrate surface management. MGI integrated this unique pre-treatment process inline to optimize the rendered input for digital enhancement effects. 

The JETvarnish 3D W also features a new, state of the art artificial intelligence-based sheet registration system, termed the SmartScanner, which will be unveiled and launched at Drupa. 

Drupa Press Conference

A Press Conference will be held on Tuesday May 31st at 3:00 PM to discuss new MGI corporate announcements, the growing Konica Minolta global alliance and new product strategies (Located in Room 8 of the Press Conference Centre – CCD South).
