Pigment Launches GoTx 2260 Direct-to-Textile System

Press release from the issuing company

Pigment.inc, a division of Impression Technology, Sydney, Australia, is now shipping its new GoTx 2260 2.6 meter (104- inch) fully integrated printing system. The new textile printing system features end-to-end textile imaging with the improved Roto-Trac textile handling system.

The GoTx 2260 prints “Everything Textile” and includes a curing station that will operate either inline or of ine. The Roto- Trac fabric transport system can handle an astonishingly wide variety of natural and synthetic fabrics. A user can choose from three different digital textile inks, pigment, reactive or disperse dye sublimation, to match exactly the target market requirements.

According to Steve Richardson, Managing Director of Impression Technology, “We have been extremely pleased with the response to our GoTx product line. With the initial launch of the GoTx 2190, we have experienced wide acceptance of the product, especially with our unique p60i Pigment ink for Textiles. We have really been amazed with the applications, includ- ing apparel, interior design and soft signage, which our customers are now using. For apparel and soft signage, our pigment inks offer unmatched UV stability and green credentials. We believe the GoTx 2260 will widen this acceptance, especially as we focus on the interior design and apparel market segments.”

Marcus Adler, GoTx Product Management stated, “The differentiating factor for the GoTx 2260 is the Roto-Trac media han- dling system. It is really a marvellous system which offers far more capabilities than any other systems in the market. With its unique quad, silicon bead coated grip rollers, the Roto-Trac system smooths and tensions the fabric, eliminating the need for pinch or pressure rollers that effect the print surface of the fabric.”

Adler further stated, “Our advanced controllers use a micro encoder on the take-up and feed systems. We have completely eliminated the typical sources of media distortion which you nd in the jerky handling systems of other machines at the low end of the market. There is no doubt this new media feed system offers our customer’s a real strategic advantage being able to handle light weight 55 gsm voile to heavier than 450 gsm canvas, both stretch and non-stretch woven fabrics and knits without a price tag that runs well into six gures associated with “sticky belt” systems.”

The full system including the printer, media handling system, xation station and software list for less than $95,000 and is available immediately. The GoTx 2260 Direct-to-Fabric printing system is available from the nest digital distribution chan- nel in the industry including Graphics One in the Americas.
