Press release from the issuing company
St Louis, Missouri - Rotoflex has confirmed a successful installation of its recently launched Security Series at Barcom Industries, bolstering the Mumbai-based label printer's strength in stringent label inspection and finishing. The Security Series module is integrated with a Rotoflex VSI 330 slitter rewinder, high-end Nikka inspection system and multilane inkjet printing system combining end-to-end servo technology for ultimate control and automation, and advanced bi-directional inspection capability for pharmaceutical and other labels with strict compliance regulations. Flexo Image Graphics, the local Rotoflex distributor in India, led the sale and installation along with Manohar Dhugga, Rotoflex director of engineering and service.
According to Prasanna Sahu of Barcom, the bi-directional inspection capability of the machine sets it apart from other solutions, as it ensures zero chance for human error. "Usually, the inspection system detects the faulty label and then waits for the operator to replace it, without re-inspecting the replaced label. With the bi-directional system, the replaced label is inspected again to ensure there are no faulty labels. This powerful machine, which is equipped with a 4K camera from Nikka, also enables QR code and barcode verification." Sahu adds, "We can assure 100% defect-free labels, not only to the pharma companies, but also to the liquor, FMCG, and food industries."
Labels for security sensitive industries must comply with extremely demanding accuracy laws and regulations. To satisfy these requirements, the Security Series offers a rich standard feature suite and range of advanced options to easily configure the selected machine for full security and pharmaceutical applications. The Security Series seamlessly integrates into the Rotoflex VSI, HSI and VLI product lines, either as a new equipment option or as a retrofit to existing installations, enabling customers to configure their finishing solution to meet the ever-increasing requirements of pharmaceutical compliance and high security packaging.
