Expansive Regional Media Group in Spain Chooses QuarkXPress for Quality and Performance

DENVER / BARCELONA – Quark announced today that Prensa Ibérica Media S.L., the influential Spanish media group, upgraded more than 600 licenses of QuarkXPress to version 2015. Prensa Ibérica Media produces print and digital content, including 16 daily titles that span nearly every region of Spain. In addition to upgrading to QuarkXPress 2015, the editorial group is committed to working with QuarkXPress through 2018, sighting software quality and performance as well as sustainable licensing programs as key reasons for selecting QuarkXPress.

“QuarkXPress 2015 offers our teams better performance than ever before with new capabilities that, with QuarkXPress Server, allow us to automate our multi-channel publishing workflow,” said Asunción Valdés Nicolau, Public Relations General Manager, for Prensa Ibérica Media. “Our writers, editors and graphic designers are able to collaborate more effectively so we can reach our readers across Spain quickly with engaging content.”

QuarkXPress 2015 is the newest version of QuarkXPress, Quark’s leading graphic design and page layout software for creative professionals. It features 64-bit performance, an array of new features for print and digital production, such as certified PDF/X-4 output, and the ability to produce fixed layout eBooks. QuarkXPress 2015 supports the latest Mac and Windows operating systems, including Mac OS X El Capitan, and is sold as a perpetual license, which means users are not locked into an ongoing subscription.

“Prensa Ibérica Media is an innovative media brand that continues to set the pace for regional editorial groups around the globe. We’re proud to announce our long-term commitment with their team, and look forward to our ongoing work together,” said Matthias Guenther, Director of Quark’s desktop business.
