Sun Chemical Names Jeffrey Shaw Chief Supply Chain, Quality and Business Improvement Officer

Press release from the issuing company

PARSIPPANY, N.J., USA - Sun Chemical named Jeffrey Shaw chief supply chain, quality and business improvement officer.

In this role, Shaw will be responsible for optimizing Sun Chemical’s entire supply chain, from the purchase of raw materials and the scheduling of the company’s plants, to managing market-based stock levels and the shipping of finished products to customers worldwide.

Shaw brings over 22 years of supply chain experience and knowledge to the position and most recently worked as the global vice president of integrated supply chain and manufacturing at Sun Chemical since 2010.

“Jeff has provided outstanding work for us for the past six years with his roles in supply chain, quality and business intelligence,” said Rudi Lenz, President and CEO, Sun Chemical. “By adding procurement responsibilities to his role, Sun Chemical will be able to focus on integrated strategies that do the right things for our company, our suppliers, and most importantly, our customers. I am confident that Jeff will further strengthen our business relationships and continue to enhance our strengths in procurement.”

Shaw holds a master’s degree in business administration from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich.

Shaw replaces Ed Pruitt, who retired after nine years serving as Sun Chemical’s chief procurement officer.

“Ed has been the voice of calm and reason during tumultuous times,” Lenz said. “In the last nine years, we have seen tremendous highs and lows in our raw materials costs, and during these periods Ed has calmly guided our purchasing through really difficult times. We wish Ed all the best in his well-deserved retirement.”
