Minneapolis - AWT Labels & Packaging has installed a new Mark Andy 17” P5 press in the first quarter of 2016. The new P5 press is equipped with two screen units, ten UV/UV LED units, cold foil, film package, full chill system and a rail for the turn bar and unwind/rewind units. It also features a Quick Change Die Cut System that allows die changeovers in less than two minutes. 

“We experienced tremendous growth in the Minneapolis plant in our digital, narrow- and wide-web printing,” said Ted Biggs, Vice President of Manufacturing, “accomplishments that could only be achieved with excellent teamwork and persistence throughout the entire organization. As a result, this new press provides the additional capacity and capabilities we need to continue to pursue our targeted markets.”

This is the second P5 press installed at AWT in the past two years.
