Press release from the issuing company
Troika Systems Ltd., the market leader in quality control analysis management systems for the print industry, has scooped a technical innovation award at the prestigious European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA) annual print awards.
Troika, which designs and develops a range of state-of-the-art quality control 3D measurement systems for the industry, was recognised in the technical innovation supplier category for its AniCAM 3D scanning microscope. The judging panel, made up of industry representatives from a cross section of printers, suppliers, brand owners and retailers, praised Troika for developing a technology which assists the print industry to deliver improved consistency, productivity and sustainability.
The AniCAM and its associated QC applications has set new standards in the measuring of anilox rolls, gravure cylinders and flexographic plates, with a solution that ensures the rolls, cylinders or plates are in optimum condition to minimise waste and improve production efficiencies.
Phil Hall, managing director at Troika, said: “The AniCAM solution has really come into its own in the global print market. It has proven that anilox and gravure cylinder management, when monitored regularly, helps ensure consistency is maintained throughout the print process.
“Troika Systems understands that quality, volume and wear of the anilox rolls, gravure cylinders and flexo plates cannot be underestimated. The AniCAM is a quality control tool which can be used to take single or multiple readings across a cylinder or plate at regular intervals. The data collected puts the printer in greater control of the whole process, driving up productivity, reducing waste and improving quality in subsequent print runs.”
Troika has sold more than 700 AniCAM /SurfaceCAM units to the industry since their introduction.
Implementing Troika technology into pre-press and the print process has numerous efficiency and improvement benefits including increased press productivity, reduced consumables waste in the press shop, production consistency which drives brand owner satisfaction and loyalty, and increased converter competitiveness and profitability.
Troika is attending Drupa 2016, the largest international trade fair for the print media industry in May and June this year. The company will unveil two new cutting edge technologies at the show, including the CorruCAM, a tool that is able to measure aniloxes within corrugated presses, and the Advanced Inspection Microscope (AIM), a fast and accurate 2D microscope that works in conjunction with different applications.
Troika’s stand, hall 10 standC13-4, is part of the UK trade association stands managed by PICON.
