All Printing Resources Announces New Colordyne Technologies Partnership

Press release from the issuing company

All Printing Resources (APR) announces an exciting new partnership with Colordyne Technologies and their portfolio of inkjet digital print products.

Within Colordyne’s portfolio is the 3600 Series Retrofit, an exciting technology that brings full-color digital printing to an existing flexographic press. Label converters can utilize the technology to profitably augment and grow current CMYK printing activities on print jobs, achieving high 1600 x 1375 dpi resolution at speeds of 275 ft/min. The platform can easily reach speeds of 335 ft/min while still producing 1600 x 1135 dpi print quality. Setup expenses are avoided by printing selected jobs digitally and variable data can be added to the traditional analog print processes.

The superior performance, ease of use, self-maintainability, and scalability of the 3600 Series Retrofit platform, coupled with an excellent price proposition, create a powerful productivity tool suitable for use in a variety of business environments.

“We are thrilled to begin this new partnership with Colordyne,” says David Nieman, APR President & CEO. “Our Technical Solutions Group (TSG) has spent a lot of time researching different digital print technologies and the Colordyne solution powered by Memjet always rose to the top of their list. Adding the Colordyne 3600 Series Retrofit digital print engine to an existing flexo press provides many of our customers with a proven, cost-effective solution for meeting their digital label requirements.”

“The new relationship with APR is very exciting,” said Brian Connolly, Colordyne Vice President, Sales and Marketing. “They provide expertise and support to their label converting customers that extends far beyond supply chain services. The way their customers look to APR to consult them on a wide variety of challenges they face is what initially caught our eye.”

Digital printing continues to make inroads in the Tag and Label market.  For many converters, purchasing a new digital press means allocating new space and possibly creating a controlled environment along with new digital converting equipment.  Colordyne’s 3600 Series Retrofit allows any converter to upgrade their current label press to a state-of-the-art digital label press and utilize existing converting. The upgrade does not affect the print capabilities of the existing press. You can actually print digital and flexo on the same press.

“APR has extensive knowledge in color management, workflow, and the entirety of the label converting environment, which puts them in a strong position to recommend the right digital printing solutions for their customers” Connolly continued. “Combine that with their forward-thinking leadership and national reach, and we believe that the fit with Colordyne is excellent.”

“Over the past 10 years, we have watched the Memjet inkjet technology explode in office and documentation printing,” says Richard Black, Director of Digital Solutions.  “With incredible quality and print speeds, it was only a matter of time before this ground-breaking technology would find its way to the digital label production market.  Colordyne’s complete product offering provides converters access to Memjet technology, from a desktop product through full-scale production.”
