Elmwood Park, NJ – Agfa Graphics will be at the 2016 Mega-Conference(booth #207) in Austin, Texas, to showcase its industry-leading workflow, Arkitex Production, and other software solutions for the newspaper industry. Mega-Conference is being held February 22-24, 2016 at the JW Marriott in Austin.

Agfa Graphics’ Arkitex Production features a single, integrated user interface that keeps all departments informed about the operations and their status. Arkitex Production offers faster turnaround and increased productivity for cost savings in the production process.

Because it is based on HTML5, Arkitex Production can be fully accessed from any computer platform that supports a browser. With Arkitex Production’s new easy-to-use interface, the production staff does not require lengthy training sessions in order to learn the software.

“Despite the many digital alternatives that exist, printed newspapers remain the most reliable and trustworthy sources of news and advertising. In order to more effectively compete in the digital landscape, newspaper publishers need the powerful tools that advanced software like Arkitex Production provides them,” said Don Easley, Regional Manager, Newspaper Segment, Agfa Graphics North America. “With Arkitex Production, newspaper publishers can operate with greater flexibility, helping them meet customer demands under shorter deadlines with higher quality.”

Some of Arkitex Production’s newest features include the ability to adjust image position on-the-fly in a template, and “Press Knowledge,” in which operators can choose to use a press-oriented look at the production run from the Arkitex interface.

Arkitex Production is complemented by Arkitex Enhance, a range of powerful add-on products for quality enhancement, also providing better cost control, improved print production efficiency and superb print quality. Arkitex Enhance includes IntelliTune for image enhancement and optimization, Veripress for soft-proofing at the press console, OptiInk for maximum ink saving, and Sublima screening for clear sharp images.
