Press release from the issuing company
HOUSTON - Meet Texas business owners Darryal and Connie Chandler, who own and operate their Minuteman Press franchise in Humble, Texas, just outside Houston. Darryal and Connie come from two totally different careers – the airline industry and teaching – that are completely unrelated to printing and marketing. Franchising was right for Connie and Darryal because they were looking to own a business but also wanted help getting started in a new field, along with an ongoing support system that would be there every step of the way after they opened. Coming from two different professional backgrounds and among the sea of business ownership and franchising options available to them, the Chandlers chose to own a Minuteman Press franchise. Here’s why:
Darryal and Connie Chandler started franchising with Minuteman Press in 2010 and are exemplary owners who follow the program that was laid out in training and was reinforced through additional on-site training and ongoing local support. They also loved that Houston and its surrounding areas presented a huge growth market should they decide to open a print and marketing franchise. Connie Chandler elaborates, “The biggest reason we chose a Minuteman Press franchise is because since I had been working here, I knew the potential this business had in the market we serve. We did have apprehensions about owning a franchise, so we certainly did our homework before making the final decision.”
That homework included researching the Minuteman Press franchise system directly, up close and in person. “Whenever an individual person, business partners, or a husband and wife team such as Darryal and Connie are interested in franchising with Minuteman Press in Houston or surrounding areas in Texas, I meet with them and give them a chance to visit and speak with current owners in the area directly,” says Rich Panowitz, Minuteman Press Area Manager for South Texas. “This way, they can see what it’s really like to own and operate a Minuteman Press franchise, and get honest feedback from our owners about our system.”
Darryal and Connie add, “Everything we could find out about MMP was positive. We have not been disappointed. As a matter of fact, we have been more than happy! Minuteman Press International provides so much support, as well as providing us with ‘buying power’ in many ways. Our franchise fee is well worth it to us! We know we made the right decision. We are part of the Minuteman Press family!”
