Swanline Strengthens Team Behind New Business Division

Press release from the issuing company

Swanline Print Ltd, the specialist 100% trade-only services provider to the corrugated packaging and point-of-sale markets, has strengthened the management team behind its innovative new Paper & Board division with the appointment of Chris Bosworth as Sales Director.

A former global sales manager with the world’s largest paper producer, Chris has a wealth of industry knowledge and contacts, in addition to extensive knowledge of paper and other products that will underpin Swanline Paper & Board’s (SPB’s) growth objectives. He will be responsible for improving cross-selling opportunities between SPB, Swanline Print, and CorrBoard – a linked supply chain no other UK merchant can offer.

Ross Griffin, Managing Director of Swanline Paper & Board, explained: “Appointing Chris brings significant benefits to the business, not least his reputation within the industry including experience within some of the largest merchants in the UK. Chris will be focusing on the synergy between the three business units in order to penetrate new markets and develop the company’s overall offering.”

This latest appointment comes hot on the heels of a £5million investment by the company over the last three years into technology to support its growth.  This is in addition to a multi-million pound Fosber corrugator installed at CorrBoard UK Ltd as part of a £15million investment by a co-operative formed with eight other partners from the corrugated industry. The technology is offering improved material quality, less waste, more efficiency and greater flexibility, all of which directly benefit Swanline’s customers.

Chris will also directly promote Swanline Paper & Board’s focus on sustainability, reflecting demands from clients to give this increasing priority.

Explaining his new role, Chris added: “I am really looking forward to making my mark at Swanline Paper & Board, developing relationships both new and existing, and working directly with suppliers to develop the UK supply line. Looking ahead there are many exciting opportunities to bring an even greater level of sophistication to our offering across the Swanline businesses. There really is no other supplier out there doing what we do.”
