Press release from the issuing company
Kennesaw, Ga - TCG Legacy, in North Carolina, recently replaced a competitive digital press with the new Linoprint CP from Heidelberg. The purchase makes history as the first Linoprint CP digital machine to be sold in the United States.
With 5 years since its last digital purchase, TCG Legacy expects to see a significant boost in speed, quality and overall value with the 130 page-per-minute press. “One of the key advantages of this machine is the increase in speed and start-up time. We anticipate a 20% increase in uptime because we will be able to run jobs constantly without limitations,” said Jeff Majewski, Vice President of Administration.
The Linoprint CP brings the latest digital press technology to a full production platform. The capabilities, sheet size and substrate range of the machine deliver the best price-to-performance ratio in its class and exceed the quality and applications of competitive machines that are double the price.
“In the premium production class of digital presses, the Linoprint CP is proving to be a major leap forward in the performance-to-investment price ratio, as well as a significant reduction in operating costs,” said Dan Maurer, Vice President, Digital Product Management. “With this generation of digital presses, our customers can integrate digital and offset to produce cost effective color print jobs on either platform without sacrificing quality or limiting application range.”
TCG Legacy is able to expand its current product portfolio and tap into new markets with the 13 x 27.5 inch machine. “We have a lot less restrictions with this machine. We went from only printing up to 14 point thickness on our old machine to running 18 point thickness with the Linoprint,” said Majewski. “We now also have the capability to digitally print six panel brochures, four color envelopes, and run a wider range of synthetics.”
One of key factors that pushed TCG Legacy to the Linoprint CP was the ability to produce high quality products with a drastic decrease in turnaround time. Although the company has long had offset capabilities, the new machine will allow the flexibility to provide more short run, high quality solutions for its customers. According to Majewski, the company now has the confidence to print more jobs digitally and sell it as offset quality.
“As a long-standing Heidelberg offset customer, we are excited to have TCG Legacy be the first in the US to integrate our new Linoprint CP digital press platform into their environment,” said Maurer. “TCG Legacy has made the successful transition to their customers as a marketing solutions provider, and our job, as their partner, is to provide the profitable solutions that can help them serve their customers in that role.”
With over 25 years of experience, TCG Legacy prides itself on delivering the highest quality custom print and packaging solutions to meet the unique needs of its customers. The company offers a broad range services across a variety of industries and is dedicated to expanding its offerings with the most advanced technology available.
