Press release from the issuing company
The UK’s leading packaging print event, Label&Print, welcomes a host of leading international suppliers, including Hewlett Packard, Dantex Graphics, Epson, Durst Phototechnik, Xeikon and Etiq’Etains, who have all been quick to show their support.
The show, which attracts visitors from key industry sectors including personal care, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, household, leisure and DIY, returns to Birmingham’s NEC on 24 & 25 February 2016.
Label&Print will play host to a lively programme of educational seminars and interactive features, exploring the latest industry trends and technologies. It is the only UK event where you can take a first-hand look at the packaging print industry, with thousands of products and services on show, as well as providing the opportunity to network with suppliers and industry peers.
Gerry Sherwood, Event Director for Easyfairs’ UK Packaging Portfolio, says: “Our visitor numbers seem to be increasing year on year; in fact we boasted a huge 10 per cent increase last year, which was really fantastic. It demonstrates the need buyers have for a show like ours, with many viewing the show as the ideal shop window through which to see the future of packaging.”
Returning exhibitor, Oana Manolache, UK&I Marketing Manager at HP Indigo said: “Label&Print 2016 is the ideal platform for HP to promote the capabilities of digital printing to the entire labels and packaging supply chain.
“Brands have high expectations. They want increased quantities to be delivered faster and more efficiently, but with the same high quality as ever. HP digital printing technologies offer converters a solution for this and we will have many examples of how our customers are already achieving this on display at the show.”
True to form, innovation is the key focus at the show, with many of the exhibitors launching new products and services. For instance Dantex Graphics will be showcasing its new PicoColour II UV inkjet digital press, which is a versatile, small footprint label printing system. It offers a printing width of 210mm and runs up to 35m per minute, on substrate thicknesses of 30 microns to 320 microns. It uses the latest Xaar 1002 print head, delivering smooth print tones and solid areas, which are perfect for printing images, sharp text and bold colours.
Addressing & Mailing Solutions will be launching AMS Ilumina, its new heavy stock printer, which has the ability to print on stock up to 500gsm. This is both heavier and thicker than comparable printers.
AG/CAD Ltd will launch its state of the art DYSS X5 digital cutter, along with the latest K-CUT vision software. The new X5 machine offers a high quality fast service and has been designed to handle all the prototyping, sample making and short to medium run needs of corrugated and solid board converters.
UK label manufacturer and barcode specialist, AM LABELS, will be discussing its recent developments in new printing and software solutions at the show. These developments include standalone printing solutions, 3G printing and chemical and allergen solutions.
Label&Print is also co-located with Empack and Packaging Innovations, meaning that the whole packaging spectrum is covered under one roof. There will be an array of new show features for 2016, running alongside a highly-practical Learnshops programme, which will address the hottest industry trends and critical issues.
