The management of Eurobusiness Group placed an order for a large-format Rapida 164 with six printing units, coater and extended delivery from KBA-Sheetfed Solutions in November. Romania’s first super-sized Rapida is scheduled to be installed in the printing company situated on the edge of Bucharest in June 2016. 

Eurobusiness Group is one of Romania’s leading printing firms and in the past was predominantly active in the field of commercial printing. The company aims to considerably expand its growing position in packaging printing with the Rapida 164. Eurobusiness Group has a cutting-edge, fully integrated infrastructure on an area spanning 10,000m² (107,639ft²). Along with four sheetfed offset presses, including a Rapida 104 and a Rapida 105, plus a coldset press from KBA, the company also has laminating and UV finishing kit as well as cutting, folding and binding technology for magazines, soft and hardcover books.

The new Rapida 164 will be equipped for carton printing and raised by 630mm (24.8in). Automatic plate changers, CleanTronic Multi washing systems and many other automated components ensure efficient production. Environmentally friendly VariDryBLUE IR/TA drying systems are expected to equip the triple delivery extension (3.9m/12.8ft). The press will regulate the ink inline with QualiTronic ColorControl. What is more, the press will feature ErgoTronic Lab for colour measurement and control as well as ErgoTronic PSO-Match for ink feeding. An ErgoTronic ACR register measuring system and low control strip heights of only 4mm (0.15in) deliver more quality assurance and optimum sheet format use. Press presetting data is transferred directly to the console of the Rapida 164 via LogoTronic CIPLinkX.
