Indoplas, Indopack &, Indoprint 2016 Provide Platform for Growing Indonesian Market

Press release from the issuing company

Jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf Asia and its local partner PT. Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI), the next editions of INDOPLAS (The 10th Indonesian International Plastics Exhibition), INDOPACK (The 9th Indonesian International Processing and Packaging Exhibition) and INDOPRINT (The 9th Indonesian International Printing Exhibition) will take place concurrently from September 7 - 10, 2016 at the Jakarta International Expo in Indonesia.

Modeled after the world’s leading international trade fairs in the plastics, packaging and printing sectors – K, interpack and drupa - organized by Messe Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf, Germany – the Indonesian counterparts will continue their successful stagings in 2016 with a comprehensive display of global innovative technologies, machinery and equipment for these industries in Indonesia and the region.

Together, INDOPLAS, INDOPACK and INDOPRINT will provide a unique business platform for global companies to boost their activities in the Indonesia market.

All three trade show will feature special zones: “Special Plastics Zone” (thermoplastics processing, extrusion technology, recycled and bio-based plastics) at INDOPLAS, “Special Processing Packaging Zone” (corrugated and flexible packaging, liquid packaging and bottling) at INDOPACK and “Special Printing Zone” (3-D printing, label printing and digital and pre-press) at INDOPRINT.

Indonesia’s thriving economy over the last decades resulted in ample opportunities for growing industries to compete globally. With a focus on promoting synergistic capabilities and production across the four booming sectors, Indonesia is set to gain larger market share in the global plastics, processing, packaging and printing markets.

With the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015, ASEAN has a significant market of 570 million consumers with a combined GDP of over $ 1 trillion. Indonesia will be a key manufacturing base and leading production center, with Indonesia’s Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) planning to attract $ 30 - 40 billion in annual foreign investment by the end of this year.

The last staging of INDOPLAS, INDOPACK and INDOPRINT in 2014 surpassed expectations.  The trade fair trio attracted more than 22,000 trade professionals from Indonesia and the surrounding region, a 20% increase compared to the previous event held in 2012. A total of 362 exhibitors from 19 countries participated – 30% more than in 2012.
