Company Draws Sales Across Product Lines and Successfully Introduces DI^® Eco-UV™ 

Hudson, NH USA – Presstek, LLC, leading provider of eco-friendly printing solutions, today announces sales across product lines and strong showings at two recent trade shows where Presstek exhibited its plate and imaging technologies. Graph Expo was held September 13-16, 2015 in Chicago, IL and is one of the largest US-based print industry events. Similarly, The Print Show held October 13-15, 2015 in Birmingham, England is the region’s first annual printing tradeshow poised to help UK print companies build for the future. 

With orders taken on the show floor, Presstek showed a smarter way to print with its eco-friendly printing solutions designed to help printers be more capable, profitable and competitive. Extremely well received and sold at the show in England, Presstek launched the new 52DI Eco-UV digital offset press. Throughout the show, demonstrators produced high quality samples printed on paper, board, and PVC substrates. 

For the market segment operating conventional offset presses, Presstek introduced GemPlate, an all-new develop on press chemistry-free plate for the ultimate streamlined platemaking experience. Thermal and inkjet computer-to-plate systems garnered quite a bit of interest at both shows. Presstek accepted several orders for JT Inkjet CTP systems and Certified Pre-Owned Vector FL52 thermal CTP systems.

NEW! Integrated Eco-UV Curing System for DI Digital Offset Presses: 

Presstek has expanded the benefits of DI digital offset printing with the addition an optional integrated low energy UV curing system. The Eco-UV system requires significantly less power than standard UV systems and produces very little heat. NEW! GemPlate^™ – Develop On Press Thermal Plate 

At both events, Presstek introduced its all new GemPlate, an exciting new 100% chemistry-free “develop on press” thermal printing plate. Offering run lengths to 100,000 impressions, the open platform GemPlate images on industry-standard 830 nm thermal platesetters. Once imaged, GemPlate can be mounted directly on press where fountain solution and ink remove the plate’s unexposed areas, leaving the ink-receptive image areas unaffected. In addition to chemistry-free streamlined plate production, other features and benefits of GemPlate include easy handling, fast roll-up, and a wide press latitude.

Certified Pre-Owned Presstek Vector FL52 CTP System

The Certified Pre-Owned Vector FL52, a compact, two-page thermal platemaking system featuring an integrated automatic water wash for Presstek’s chemistry-free Freedom Pro metal plates. Sharp, high quality imaging is achieved with Presstek SureFire FL imaging technology and provides screen rulings up to 175 lpi. These affordable and industry-proven turnkey systems include the latest RIP software, new RIP computer, plate punch, installation, training, a box of plates and a full one year warranty.

Presstek JT Direct Inkjet Plate

Presstek’s JT Direct Inkjet Plate combines with Epson^® inkjet printers, providing a simple, low-cost plate production solution. The JT metal plate images on a standard Epson inkjet printers using the printer's standard inks. Serving as a multi-function all-in-one CTP system, users can image plates, print proofs, posters, and more, easily switching from one print application to another without any modifications or changing of inks. Small format plates on up to a 44 in./111.76 cm plate can be imaged on these highly affordable bundled systems that include the inkjet printer, RIP software, oven, and start-up kit.
