First Canadian printer to meet rigorous certification process to ensure color quality control across every step of print operations
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – X-Rite Incorporated, a global leader in color science and technology, and its subsidiary Pantone LLC, today reported that Pazazz Printing, based in Montreal, is now a PANTONE® Certified Printer for its offset presses. The PANTONE Certified Printer Program reviews and analyzes every aspect of a commercial printer’s color operations – from preflight, to file preparation and proofing, to ink formulation and mixing, and to process control in the pressroom. With this certification, Pazazz is able to ensure its customers that it can achieve the most stringent color standards efficiently and consistently across every print job.
“As the first printer in Canada to achieve PANTONE Certified Printer status, Pazazz underwent a rigorous certification process to confirm its ability to match PANTONE colors using both CMYK and spot colors,” says Murphy Keeley, Vice President of Marketing and Services, X-Rite. “Pazazz demonstrated its mastery of the latest in color communication and control tools – including a CxF color exchange workflow and PantoneLIVE – and standard procedures across its entire operation to ensure consistent results. Pazazz has proven it can provide its most color-conscious customers with the most consistent, reliable performance – job after job, day after day, with no exceptions.”
In operation since 1992, Pazazz is a one-stop-shop for Cross Media Integrated (CMI) marketing solutions. It specializes in offset printing up to 56”, digital printing, labels, packaging and wide format. Pazazz is a certified G7 Master Printer and is FSC® certified. The company promotes UV inks that are VOC-free.
“The Pantone Certified Printer status complements our G7 Master Qualification and strengthens our process controls in order to deliver the highest quality color printing to our customer. We are extremely excited to be the first and only printer in Canada that can offer this level of quality assurance. The certification provides us with a competitive advantage and sets us apart in the marketplace,” says Warren Werbitt, Founder, Pazazz Printing.
