Full team onsite to share knowledge and expertise on stand A31, Hall 11
The Hague, The Netherlands – As Europe’s leading trade association for the self-adhesive labelling and adjacent narrow web converting industry, FINAT will again welcome the label community on its stand at Labelexpo Europe 2015. Visitors with marketing, managerial or technical questions about the fast-paced change in the label industry or keen to learn more about release liner recycling, are invited to pass by the FINAT stand where board and committee members are present to answer these questions and much more. In addition, Mark Macaré, FINAT's Public Affairs and Issues Manager, will be answering any questions on release liner recycling at the Recycling Desk on FINAT’s stand. Prior to the show, FINAT will host the global label associations united in the L9. Labelexpo Europe is taking place September 29 till October 2 at the Brussels Expo in Belgium, and FINAT will exhibit in hall 11 on stand A31.
“We are excited to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Labelexpo this year, as presenting partner of our valued partner Tarsus. Initially, Labelexpo Europe provided the newly emerging self-adhesive printing and converting technology its own platform outside ‘mainstream’ printing exhibitions, and especially during the past 25 years, the show has gone from strength to strength,” comments Jules Lejeune, Managing Director of FINAT. “There are many Labelexpo memories. Most precious of all however has been the many occasions where the show in Brussels has brought together the global label industry community. After all there are not many opportunities where business leaders from the label industry worldwide can get together. We look forward being at the show and seeing all of them again at this year’s edition.”
Update on joint TLMI /FINAT LCA project and new conformity info documents
FINAT also announces that a press conference will be staged at Labelexpo on Thursday October 1 at 12.30pm in the press office (hall 7) together with TLMI, the trade organization for converters and suppliers in the North American tags and pressure sensitive labels industry. During the press conference, FINAT and TLMI will give an update on the joint Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) project, share the key findings so far and provide details on the publication of the FINAT LCA guidelines. The document provides a brief introduction into the principles of Life Cycle Analysis with an overview of existing measurement tools and how to use them. The full guidelines will be available for FINAT members later this year. A workshop on how to implement the principles will be given at the FINAT Technical Seminar in Barcelona March 16 to 18 2016 and the preliminary programme will be presented at Labelexpo Europe.
At the press conference, FINAT will also address the issue of conformity of self-adhesive labels for food packaging following the recent publication of an overview of existing legislation on materials and articles coming into contact with food.
Other publications on show will include the FINAT Technical Handbook 9th edition in French and the FINAT leaflet “Connect your business with the label community” with information on what it means to be part of the FINAT community. FINAT’s booth will display winning entries in the 2015 FINAT Label Competition while visitors can also take part, and even win a prize, in an online survey to help FINAT gain a better understating of how its performance is viewed.
