Press release from the issuing company
Presses will enable company to expand its high-end direct marketing applications
Itasca, IL, - Xeikon, an innovator in digital color printing technology, announced today that Wheeling, WV-based Mail America, a longtime Xeikon customer, has purchased two Xeikon 9800 digital color presses at Graph Expo 2015.
Mail America is looking to further expand its production of high-volume direct marketing pieces with the new presses. The two Xeikon 9800s will provide even more speed, greater print quality, and higher versatility to the company's portfolio, while reducing their production costs.
The Xeikon 9800 press is being exhibited at Xeikon's booth (#849) at Graph Expo. The show is taking place from September 13-16, at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.
Mail America purchased its first Xeikon press in 2003. Mail America's President Richard Dlesk, who co-founded the company in 1993 with his wife and lifelong business partner, Sharon Dlesk, said, "We need to constantly evolve to meet and exceed our customers' expectations. We run our equipment hard - we run it a lot. The new Xeikon 9800 is built to handle higher production volumes at lower cost. This gives us the ability to lock in a more secure price point on our products, which will directly benefit our customers."
Between 30 and 40 percent of Mail America's production is on thinner substrates. The Xeikon 9800s will allow Mail America to print these applications at a much higher speed and at exceptional quality levels. "The Xeikon presses can not only produce a nice looking piece, but they can do it in high volume. We have a demanding audience - our customers want products delivered quickly," Dlesk said.
The highlights of the Xeikon 9800 press include:
"We congratulate Mail America on their purchase and are thrilled to continue our partnership with them," said Patrick Van Baelen, Vice President of WW Marketing at Xeikon. "We're continuing to see increased demand for our digital document and commercial printing technology that helps companies like Mail America expand their production capabilities, especially in unique application formats. We are excited to be a part of their continued success."
