Press release from the issuing company
Air Motion Systems, Inc. (AMS’s) continued pursuit of excellence to provide the Graphic Arts Industry with a superior LED energy curing solution has achieved back-to-back-to-back honors for the prestigious MUST SEE 'EMS Award in the area of Pressroom: Analog Presses category.
This highly coveted award is voted upon by industry leading experts and represents the most forward-thinking technologies for the Graphic Arts Industry.
The latest AMS LED development – the XP9 – delivers increased power-curing intensity and provides a greater assure of cure even with the most difficult inks, varnishes, and adhesives on virtually any substrate material including coated and uncoated paper, board, plastics, metalized stock, lenticular, and synthetics at speeds as great as 30,000 sheets per hour. The XP9 is constructed entirely from solid-state LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) and is RoHS complaint.
Both new and retrofitted press equipped with the AMS LED system produce sheets that are instantly dry – provides quicker turns and reduces inventory hold times. Additionally, colors are more vibrant on both coated and uncoated stock. Because sheets are instantly dry, the AMS LED System eliminates the need for spray power as well as ozone and mercury from the pressroom. LEDs are rated for 20,000 hours of operation – ending the need to continually replace costly mercury bulbs.
AMS will showcase their entire line of LED UV products at Graph Expo at McCormick Place Chicago, booth 460 in the South Hall, Sunday, September 13 through Wednesday, September 16. AMS will also host a free seminar on the benefits of this revolutionary technology on Tuesday, September 15 from 12:30 - 1:30pm in room S404BC in the South Hall of McCormick Place.
AMS is the world leader in LED UV curing systems with more experience and meters of high-power LED UV installed than all other LED suppliers combined. AMS offers complete turnkey systems that produce instantly dry sheets at full-press-speeds and reduces energy costs up to 70 percent.
