Visitors to witness the production of unique, high quality direct marketing applications on Xeikon's flagship document and commercial printing press

Itasca, IL - Xeikon, an innovator in digital color printing technology, announced today that Graph Expo 2015 will mark the North American tradeshow debut of Xeikon 9800, company's flagship document and commercial printing press.

Graph Expo, which is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition and conference for the graphic communications industry in the Americas, is taking place September 13-16, 2015, at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. Xeikon is located in booth #849.

The Xeikon 9800, a Graph Expo 2015 MUST SEE 'EMS Award Winner, underlines the company's heritage of innovation in digital print technology and sets another benchmark in productivity, image quality and running costs. With a top speed of 308 letter-size impressions per minute and a web width of 20.2 inches, the press comes integrated with Xeikon's X-800 digital front end. The press can print on a wide range of untreated substrates from 40-gsm (27 lb. text) to 350-gsm (130 lb. cover). Its uniquely adapted Xeikon QA-CD toner and Xeikon's high-quality imaging system deliver a print resolution of 1200x3600 dpi with variable dot density for unmatched quality.

Some of the other key features of the Xeikon booth at Graph Expo include:

• Personalized direct marketing applications: The Xeikon 9800 will produce unique, high quality direct marketing applications at the show that highlight the format flexibility, color consistency, workflow prowess and customization/VDP capabilities of Xeikon technology. Xeikon has worked with Tecra, one of its software Aura Partners, to develop these applications. The applications will feature vivid images of vintage, culturally important and custom-built motorcycles.
• Web Varnishing Module: The press will run in-line with the Xeikon Web Varnishing Module at the show. This is a highly versatile unit that can apply UV or aqueous varnish on one side of a wide range of substrates. These substrates include coated papers and paperboard as well as self-adhesive label and folding carton materials.
• G7® color matching: Xeikon will also partner with Alwan Color Expertise at the show to demonstrate its automated G7 tools for complete inline digital color management and verification.
• Data integrity, verification and print quality inspection systems: Xeikon will also partner with Lake Image Systems at Graph Expo. Lake Image Systems will integrate Discovery MaxScan, their new compact scanning technology for high speed, high quality document inspection, with the Xeikon 9800.
