Orlando, FL - On July 31, the Printing Association of Florida proudly recognized 33 of Florida's top printing and graphic communications firms who collectively submitted 423 entries, for a chance to receive a coveted Florida Print Award trophy. In addition, 7 schools participated, with a total of 106 entries submitted. Winners were honored at the annual Florida Print Awards banquet and reception held at the Hilton Orlando.
Florida-based Coastal Printing, Inc. received a "Benny" Award at the national level for its piece titled "Chesnut Hall"; and a total of 62 Florida projects submitted by 22 companies were recognized in Printing Industries of America's Premier Print Awards competition. The "Benny", a bronze statuette of Benjamin Franklin, is awarded to the most outstanding entry in each category.
The Florida Print Awards promotes excellence in the industry by recognizing individuals, companies, and organizations producing the very best in print media. All winning entries are displayed during the Print Management Conference at the Hall of Winners showcase. Winners are also published in the Florida Print Awards Winners Booklet, and in PAF's Graphics Update magazine. The competition is free, and open exclusively to PAF members.
"We congratulate all who submitted entries to the annual Florida Print Awards competition, and to those who walked away with top honors," says George Ryan, CEO and President of the Printing Association of Florida, an affiliate of Printing Industries of America. "Each entry is more impressive that the next, and the competition is close every year. We enjoy recognizing, and celebrating, the vast talent of all of our members."
