On 17th of June, the recently founded company WEILBURGER Graphics Peru SACorganized a technical seminar about “Water-based coatings and UV-lacquers for food packaging” at the premises of the chamber of commerce in Lima, the capital of Peru. Approximately 50 persons from different areas and subjects of the graphic industry took part in this event.

The lecture about the extensive portfolio of low migration varnishes and adhesives of the WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH was held by Mr. Jürgen Kibler who is responsible for the Technical Service for Latin America at the coatings specialist from Gerhardshofen. At that time, Jürgen Kibler stayed in Lima in order to give technical advice to the customers of WEILBURGER Graphics Peru SAC. He was supported by Pedro Sánchez Rodero, Managing Director of the Peruvian subsidiary. Furthermore, the lecture included information about the procedures, which have to be followed in the safe production of food packaging, as well as about the mainly European standards, which have to be observed. The discussed topics were of great interest for the participants as the graphical market in Peru is going through a modernization phase especially in the sector of food packaging and low migration production plays an increasingly important role.
