Sinapse is proud to announce the choice of the SHOTS^TM Sheetfed offset simulator for the 4th time as an evaluation tool for WorldSkills 2015.  The Offset Printing competition will be held in Anhembi Parque, São Paulo, Brazil from 11 to 16 August 2015. 

Four SHOT simulators will be used in the competition, alongside 2 Heidleberg Speedmaster presses.  Each contestant will have an interface in their own language, with the judges also able to choose any language to review the results.

Competitors will use the simulators to demonstrate their process control and problem-solving skills. Simulators can introduce problems (bad adjustments, worn components, poor materials) that would be impractical to reproduce on the real presses. 

The competitors will be judged on their ability to recognize and solve problems, and to do so at the lowest production cost.

If you are at the show, please stop and watch the Offset competition, there will be Sinapse personnel present to answer any of your questions (Céline Saint-Martin and Thierry Mack).

There will also be a “Try a Skill” area, where you too can run the simulator. Don’t miss it!
