Press release from the issuing company
Gigantic Color, the Dallas-based provider of large-scale visual advertising and marketing programs, partnered with the Academy of Country Music Awards to provide printing and installation services for the anniversary celebration.
Televised on CBS, the ACM Awards show held at AT&T Stadium honors the best country music talent across the nation each year to support artists and industry professionals while also engaging fans. The weekend of the long anticipated ACM Awards 50th anniversary ran from April 17 to 19, 2015. From the award show itself featuring the Party for a Cause Music Festival at Globe Life Park to ACM's charitable arm, the Lifting Lives Celebrity Golf Tournament at Brookhaven Country Club, Gigantic Color accepted the challenge to create A-list worthy print materials ready for installation and designed to ‘wow' onlookers.
The Gigantic Color team kicked off the anniversary celebration with a bang – satisfying vendor responsibilities, while also acting as a consultative partner. Facing 24-hour installation and break-downs, opening baseball weekend, severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings, Gigantic Color stood as the single vendor to manage the success of the event.
Gigantic Color worked to create the ACM Awards 50th Anniversary experience complete with A-list worthy music festival installation pieces, to welcome banners and chalkboard wall graphics, providing advice for substrates and production of last minute design pieces all the while. The results speak for themselves in the event photography, and the national recognition that such an extravagant awards ceremony, with superstar cohosts Blake Shelton and Luke Brian, earns.
"For this year's 50th Anniversary Celebration of the ACM Awards, we were prepared to meet and beat the unexpected," said Troy McGinnis, senior vice president and general manager. "Our team went above and beyond offering everything a printing and installation vendor could from under one roof, relieving the Academy of the stress that comes from coordinating with multiple vendors. As we like to say – relax, we'll take care of everything."
