Masterwork USA, a leading manufacturer of folding carton and packaging equipment headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is pleased to announce its strong success at the IADD/FSEA Odyssey trade show where it exhibited its new MK 1060MF automatic die-cutting machine with stripping and MK 420QMINI printing inspection machine to a record-shattering attendance. The biennial trade show, targeted specifically to diecutting, diemaking, foil stamping/embossing, folding carton, corrugated and general/specialty markets took place from May 13 -15, 2015 at the Renaissance Convention Center in Schaumburg (outside of Chicago), IL. It attracted 107 exhibitors and 21 separate pieces of equipment running in the Techshop™, in addition to the machinery on display in exhibitor booths, making it the largest show in the organization’s history.

These unique show-and-tell clinics were enhanced by our real-time demonstrations using our latest high-tech equipment, giving us the ability to present our production solutions to this targeted audience. Our equipment was placed in an environment simulating a working production shop floor where technical sessions on diecutting, diemaking, folding/gluing, foil stamping/embossing and other print finishing processes were taught live on the equipment throughout the three-day event. Cutting-edge video equipment and live-action feeds allowed attendees to see our MK 1060MF and MK 420QMINI in action up close and in real time.”

The MK 1060MF automatic industrial die-cutting machine with stripping offers precise accuracy, high speeds, easy operation, and more stability than other machines on the market. The MK1060MF has a maximum sheet size of 1060mm x 760mm and a speed of 7700s/h die cutting.

The impressive MK 420QMINI high-speed, high precision automatic sheet inspection machine allows a graphic arts firm to increase production capacity, reduce costs, and carry out 100% on-line inspections throughout 24 hours of uninterrupted operation. The Mini’s new technology removes the cumbersome human inspection process with its inefficiency and inaccuracy and allows the 420MINI’s high-speed CCD camera to detect the slightest deviations from the standard sample. The 420MINI Q has a highly-adjustable patented light source that can make meticulous and accurate adjustments according to the different printing processes, such as laser or holographic foil stamping. This light source, found only on MK machines, can filter the reflective light on the sheets to make the image clear and give the best detection results. The MK 420MINI offers a maximum running speed of 75,000 sheets/hr. It will take a maximum sheet size of 420mmx350mm and a minimum sheet size of 70mmx70mm.
