New Deployments Empower Commercial Print Shops to Grow Their Color Digital Printing Businesses
STENLOSE, DENMARK and SAN DIEGO, CA - Trojanlabel A/S, the industry leader in digital color label printing, today announced that its North American Distributor, Trojan Color Systems, installed two of the newly-released TrojanTwo Digital Mini Presses powered by Memjet technology. The first TrojanTwo was installed at ACRO Label in Willow Grove, PA and the second at a Label Converter in Ontario, Canada. Both ACRO Label and the Label Converter in Canada are commercial printers that selected the TrojanTwo to fill the need for an affordable, high quality, production class, digital label press.
"The demand for digital labels is growing rapidly, but the market has not been within reach for all converters. The TrojanTwo makes it possible for our customers to get onboard without incurring a huge capital investment -- something the market desperately needs," said Mikkel Wichmann, CEO of Trojanlabel.
The TrojanTwo is servo-driven, with precision planetary gear heads for more accurate web movement; a double sided frame for better platform stiffness; an electronic web guide; a splice table with magnetic clamps; a web cleaning system; an automatic tension management system; and a capacitive 15.6" touch screen with user-friendly workflow software. The system also includes a self-predictive and intelligent print head servicing system using sophisticated usage algorithms that maximizes up time and delivers consistent print quality through long runs.
"We found a highly successful way to integrate the Memjet single head into our machine, eliminating the prior problems with consistent high quality printing related to the single head technology. As a result TrojanTwo delivers an extremely high print quality that is no longer limited to short runs," said Wichmann.
"As the TrojanLabel distributor for North America, we are delighted in the performance of the TrojanTwo and the response from our customers, and the marketplace in general. Finally there is an affordable, high quality production class digital alternative to systems that are 10 to 20 times more expensive," said Dennis Kallaher, VP of Sales and Marketing for Trojan Color systems. "We look forward to educating the market on the benefits of bringing digital label and tag printing in-house and placing many more TrojanTwo Mini Presses into North America."
